GIRA
develops pedagogical suggestions for intercultural education. Physical and
music education serve as pedagogical fields of application. The two-year-long
project aims at improving the understanding between cultures and deepening
the knowledge about other traditions. Participating in the project are schools
from Spain, Romania, Ireland and Belgium with a high quota in ethnic
minorities.
Among
the activities count compiling games, as well as collecting folk songs and
dances that originate in cultures different from the students'. The project's
output is a set of practical and didactic teaching units stored on a CD-Rom.
