Learning Portuguese by Singing (Language
and Civilization)
|
This project aims at creating didactic material to study
the Portuguese language and culture within the heterogeneous environment of a
secondary school in France. The results and finished products are
disseminated in a European network, which is created throughout the project.
The goal consists in making students of Portuguese descent
rediscover and learn the language of their own and the other lusophone
countries through song. Thus, the culture and language are being valorised in
the school setting.
The action program envisions project meetings, conferences
on the project’s content, meetings with Portuguese singers, the production of
a textbook to learn the language through song, and an audio recording. The
method is being tested in France as well as in Lisbon before being disseminated
among the participants.

Adjuk, the little Frog
|
Creating an intercultural dynamic that revolves around the
creation and dissemination of a children's book. The story of the frog
„Adjuk“, who tries to improve the understanding between all animals is the
content of a children's song that is being illustrated by the book that is.
As follows, the project’s target group are children from pre-school through
primary school. Beyond reaching the children, parents should also be
sensitised for intercultural education as a topic.
The final product will be distributed in schools of the
three participating countries as well as in different public institutions
interested in the subject. A pedagogical methodology for using the children’s
story as an intercultural tool is being developed at the same time.
Additionally, paint and musical workshops as well as a travelling exhibition
are being organised to ameliorate relations between Maghreb and Europe. Interculturality and tolerance are the project’s two main subjects.

EUROPEAN PRIMARY VILLAGE – A European Concept for the professional development
of teachers in play and primary school
|
In
order to realise this concept, an internet-based platform is being created
and designed. This project facilitates the experimentation and the transfer
of experiences among teaching personnel.
The
project thus envisions developing concrete measures that include creative
learning in play and primary schools. 10 different pilot groups within the 4
participating countries lead various experiments to design measures in the
following subject matters: Art, Music, Sciences and Literature. The teaching
personnel are being taught to integrate the new information and communication
instruments in their pedagogical, educational and didactic activities. The
experiments’ results are being used to develop different modules in the realm
of continuing training.
