Project – Details

1	Dance as a means of communication between different European countries
This project is intended to discover the cultural heritage of the participating countries through dance. One of the important components of this project is folk dance. The output of the project will be presented through video, CD, DVD, life performances and pedagogical materials.

2	Join us and create a European group celebrating our customs and traditions through dance
The aim of this project is to unify schools of different countries through dance. Pupils in primary schools can develop their dancing skills and meet many children from other countries. We will focus predominantly on the dancing traditions of our regions in order to introduce the culture of our country and to create a common European culture based on the diversity of cultural traditions.

3	The magic of dance
Dance is one of the forms to overcome social and cultural barriers. The aim of this project is to tie up and to develop a co-operation among pupils in secondary schools by means of dancing. The output of this project will be a DVD and a life performance on regional and international level.

4	Ľudová pieseň má stále dôležitú úlohu v našom živote (Folk Songs Still Have an Important Role in Our Life)
The project deals with three main subjects: music – dance – foreign languages and the comparison of educational systems. The aim is to exchange the partner countries' basic vocabulary and to discover the countries' cultures through singing and dancing folk songs. Performing folk songs and dances and comparing educational systems by visiting schools in Lucenec and Aigio are the project's main activities. Pupils of both schools will introduce traditional folk songs and music being accompanied by folk and classical music instruments. Besides appreciating folk songs and dances, we want to get to know the lifestyle, philosophy, mentality and culture of a given country.
